I WAS TAGGED!

Jobs I've held-
1. Principal at East Layton Elementary
2. Principal at Sunset Elementary
3. Teacher at Monte Vista
4. Data Entry for the LDS church
5. "Gofer" for Evans Advertising

Places I want to go for a weekend getaway-
1. Coeur D'Laine, Idaho
2. Park City
3. Moab
4. New York
5. Disneyland with the grand kids

Movies I can watch over and over again-
I love OLD movies, even black and white, anything from the 30's and 40's. Rebecca is a favorite.

My guilty pleasures-
1. Michael and I love to go to an early movie on Friday nights, grab a bite, come home early, and beat the crowds.
2. Reading before going to sleep but I always have to tickle Michael's back and it is hard to juggle a book while doing this. This is the only way he will let me keep the light on late!
3. Hires hamburgers and fries.
4. Cummings chocolates, Glo got me started on this.
5. Running and biking with friends and going to school late in the summer.

Places I have lived-
1. Farmington, Utah
2. Bountiful, Utah
3. Springville, Utah
That's it! I know I am limited but I have had 3 different houses in Farmington if that counts.

First things I thought when I saw my significant other-
I thought that he was a sharp dresser, very cool, nice looking and acting. I also thought he looked at me a little too closely since I was dating his best friend.

Places I have been on vacation-
1. Hong Kong/China/Korea (one trip)
2. Switzerland
4. Hawaii
5. Moab

Favorite Foods-
1. Maddox
2. Mandarin
3. Market Street Grill
4. El Farol
5. Cinegrill

If in a jam with my spouse, what tactics do I use to get out of the doghouse-
I am never in a doghouse for long. We just talk--no tactics.

Websites I visit daily-
All my favorite blog sites.
DSD mail

Best kiss landmark-
All kisses from Michael.
Kisses from my grandkids.

Places I'd rather be right now-
1. Hiking in Moab
2. New York with all my daughters and daughters-in-law
3. Holy Lands with Michael
4. Maui with Michael

OZZY! OZZY!

Our newest son-in-law, Oliver, is so fun, loveable, active, humble, grateful, etc. The whole family from the youngest to the oldest love to be around him. I will never forget the trip we went on together to Moab, sleeping in the same room, eating at the Branding Iron every night, and hiking for 9 miles a day. He and Carly are a perfect match . They have so much fun together and work even harder together. We gave him a very large "cam" for his birthday. It is a rock climbing device and he loved it. He was able to use it in the City of Rocks in Idaho. He was so excited when he got it that he gathered up all his gear, strapped it all on and couldn't wait to use it. We love Oliver and we are so glad he and Carly love each other.

FRIENDS FOR LIFE!

I am very blessed in my life to have some amazing friends. These flowers are from my friend of 36 years, Sally. Fran came into our lives soon after and we have been tight ever since. We have shared celebrations, heartaches, laughter, joy, advice, and spiritual support. We have been next door neighbors and have lived close and far, but through all the years we still get together to share our love of our families and of each other.

I also think I have set a record. Lynne and I have run together for almost thirty years. Camille joined us shortly after and we have been running consistently ever since. Recently, Jaci, Shauna, and Jackie have joined us one or two days a week. Most mornings you will find us running and walking the Bonneville Shoreline trail or biking by Farmington Bay and Buffalo Ranch. We have done this through pregnancies, now grandchildren, rain, deep snow, two marathons, the Baer Gutsman, the dark (we use headlamps and flashlights in winter months), through trying times and joyous times. We solve many of the worlds problems and many of our own by sharing with each other. They sustain and strengthen me.

FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT !

ALL MY CHILDREN gave me a most wonderful Mother's Day gift---a family portrait session with the talented photographer, Jonathan Canlas. It was a major accomplishment to get everyone there for one hour together. Maeve and Brad came from Australia where they were working and vacationing, Mia, Bruce, and family from Nebraska, Ian and Kelsee fresh from a trip to San Diego, Ty and Holly from North Salt Lake, and Lisa and Micah from Kaysville. We met at Memorial Grove, just down the street from where Carly and Oliver live. I told everyone to dress in black or brown and when I arrived and saw ALL MY CHILDREN, I knew it would be beautiful. After, we all ate at the Spaghetti Factory. We were quite a sight walking into Trolley Square in matching colors. People probably thought we were just a weird Mormon family. As Michael and I looked down the long table at our family of 20, we were just incredulous at the amazing children we have. We love them all so much. They are all unique and special and they have blessed our lives.

Here are some favorite images from our shoot.

Summer Weekend

We celebrated THREE birthdays this Friday--Holly, June 29th, Kelsee, July 1st, and Oliver, July 24th. The place they unanimously picked was Leatherbys for cheeseburgers and ice cream! It was fun to be together with the young set. Dad and I left early that day and saw Harry Potter at The Gateway before joining everyone.

Saturday was Farmington Festival Days and the parade is the very best. Small town fun, lots of excitement, and not too long. It was thrilling to have an apache helicopter from Hill Air Force base fly low along the parade route and stir the warm air to begin the parade. Micah, Halle, Brea, Ian, Kelsee, Jesse, John, and Beckham Shipley, Scott McDonald and his cute wife joined us. There was so much candy, otter pops, and prizes thrown that it was hard to carry it all home!
Later that night, Michael and I attended the temple and went to Weinerts after for supper. On Sunday, Glo, Maeve and Brad came to dinner. Maeve made some great cookies! Even though we are busy we miss having Mia and her family here with us.

4th of July

The Fourth of July was as hot as a fire cracker, so there was homemade raspberry ice cream and water fun. We cheered for Brea, Brighton, and Halle who rode in the Kaysville parade and returned to our house to cool off in the water and have a family barbeque. The heat was too much for Brighton and Brooklyn, so I watched the fireworks from all over the valley on our front deck cuddled with Brighton while the others celebrated at Rocky Mountain Raceway!

Summer Delights!

The best thing about summer is all the time we get to spend with our family. Mia, Bruce, Easton, Brighton, and Brooklyn are here visiting from Omaha and so we get to live together for 2 weeks. Earlier, Brea, Halle, and Presley Beth stayed with us for a few days while Micah and Lisa went to Lake Powell. Also visiting is "Lilly" (Ian and Kelsee's dog or princess) while they are in San Diego. Ty and Holly, Brad and Maeve, and Micah's family have been to visit. Carly and Oliver came last night to tend while we took Bruce and Mia to the Mandarin. The house on North Compton Road is full and fun!

Things we have done:
Easton and guys went to a Bees game with tickets Ian provided.
The gals went to a fun wedding shower for Nicole at Shelly's beautiful home in Alpine.
Easton and guys golfed at Swan Lake.
Many of us saw Ratatouille, very engaging with excellent animation.
Sleep overs with cousins.
Sunday Dinners together.
Shopping at Fashion Place.
Brea, Brighton, & Halle attended the Davis High Jr. Cheer Camp.
Swimming at Cherry Hill.
"Bombs Away," "Beehive Pancakes," "Car Washes" with Grandpa Mike.
Celebrated Holly's Birthday.
Celebrated Bruce's Birthday.
Started our blog thanks to Mia, Maeve, and Brad.
