TAGGED BY NICOLE!

I am a sucker for: Old Movies...I could watch them all day and all night, "Dancing With the Stars!" (honestly, this is the only TV I watch besides the news and old movies), the Bee Gees, Cummings chocolates, Friday Night Dates with Michael, babies, running in the mountains, biking around Farmington Bay, reading good books, my grandkids, my kids, my school, the sun and water!

My Worldly Desires: To be able to travel whenever and wherever I want and take whoever I want with me, to build one more perfect home, to go with my girls for a spa week, to be thinner, to get more pedicures and massages.

My Prize Possessions: Michael, my children and grandchildren, my grandmother's journal, my mother's journals, and my journals, the original art we have bought since 1971, the pottery my boys created, family portraits, my college degrees.

I will never wear big hair, white lipstick or high heeled shoes again, but then I am not sure I ever wore any of these! ( And besides that I hate to say, never.)

Things I Love: Going to BYU or Jazz games with Michael, eating out, family events, family vacations, going to movies with Michael, reading a good book, playing with my grandkids, Christmas, Summer, and running with my friends (we have done this for 30 years!)

Things I Hate: Working all day at school, coming home working some more, working at home all weekend, never having a lazy day.

Randomness: I have dreams that come true. I saw all my children before they were born. Mia spoke to me. Micah appeared at the foot of my bed holding the hand of someone older. I was told or impressed clearly what each of their names should be. I felt my mother come to me after she died and I was in Green Valley. I still dream about her.

I now tag Maeve, Carly, Mia, Holly J., Kelsee, Lisa (If you haven't done this already!)

THANKSGIVING!!!!

We have many things to be thankful for this year.

1. Mia, Bruce, Easton, Brighton, & Brooklyn came to be with us. We all got together for a big Sunday Dinner. We now number 21 and 1/2 (including Glo and baby Miles Jay on the way)!

Food makes Ian happy!
It also makes him concentrate!
2. We are thankful that it has been such a beautiful fall and we were able to enjoy the Castle Park with our Nebraska grandkids. The grandkids also went to the new Solomon Center, saw "Enchanted," had many sleepovers, visited the horses, shopped, rock climbed with Oliver and Carly, and went to the BYU/Utah game.

3. We are thankful for "BEAR BUMS!"4. We are thankful for grandchildren that love each other and love being together.
5. We are thankful that we could all get together for another big Thanksgiving Dinner. I began to feel like I needed to start a blog called, "The Farmington Woman Cooks"!.

6. And ..... We are MOST thankful that Ian and Kelsee were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple!

We decided to celebrate by, you guessed it, eating again!......this time at the Lion House with all our loved ones who joined us at the temple.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!

I tried to find a picture of Lisa alone but as you can see, she is always with her family. She is a devoted wife and mother. Micah took her to buy whatever she wanted for her birthday and all she wanted to buy was clothing for her girls, so she did!
I love this picture of Presley and Lisa because it shows how much Presley adores her mother and how much Lisa loves Presley. It is only when Lisa isn't around that I get cuddles and kisses from Presley. Lisa is a great wife to Micah. She totally supports him, builds him, and lets him golf as much as he wants. She is the first one to jump up and help me clean up after Sunday dinner and she (thankfully) took over the traditional Johnston Halloween Dinner. We love going on long runs together, eating out, and talking about school. Lisa and Micah invite us to go on trips with them and we love it!!! Have a great Birthday Week, Lisa!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EASTON!!!!

I love this boy with big blue eyes! Sometimes he is a scientist who knows many facts about animals and the planet. Many times he is an artist creating wonderful wire sculptures that are put on display at school and drawings that are so detailed we keep them forever. Other times he is an athlete who plays baseball, football, basketball, and soccer, not just on teams but with his friends in his neighborhood. Easton is a jokester, a comedian, and a magician. He loves to have his "ears pierced," perform magic tricks, and have pillow fights with the grumpy bear. I love his sense of humor and he makes me laugh whenever we are together. Easton is a good example to his sisters and cousins because he is always choosing the right and is very obedient and thoughful. He is a student who is responsible, hard working, and loves to read chapter books. Easton is a friend to all and has many friends standing at his door wanting to play. Easton is our first and only grandson (until April) and we love him so much!
